Job description

Who we are
ILO Group is a proudly women-owned education strategy and policy firm. We are a dedicated team of strategic partners and specialists who support school districts and states in executing on their biggest bets and highest-priority efforts. We work as members of our partners' teams, operating side by side with the country's leading educators, experts, and government partners.
Our work is as diverse as our partners' ambitions are bold. We work across leadership development, comprehensive project management and implementation support, systems transformation, and more. We enable education leaders to be catalysts for enduring change that benefits their students, schools, and communities.
In addition to technical assistance to districts and states, our expert team provides the capacity and expertise to power difference-making partnerships of our own, including Women Leading Ed and The Forum for Educational Leadership.
Who we are looking for
ILO Group is seeking a Curriculum Content Production & Quality Support Contractor to support the development of high-quality Math instructional materials.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. The contractor will work under the guidance of the Director, Math Curriculum to translate scope and sequence decisions, standards-aligned frameworks, and instructional direction into clear, rigorous, and usable draft materials designed for real classroom implementation.
This role does not set instructional strategy. It supports drafting, sequencing, revision, and quality review to ensure materials are accurate, coherent, and production-ready.
Why ILO Group
Our clients include state education agencies, school districts, and adjacent education organizations, including nonprofits and foundations, who are committed to improving student outcomes.
In this role, you will work directly with education leaders and their teams to support the design, development, and refinement of math instructional resources that can be implemented at scale.
Opportunity
This person must demonstrate the ability to:
  • Support development and refinement of math instructional materials and curriculum documents aligned to an established scope and sequence
  • Translate director-level guidance into draft-ready units and supporting materials
  • Support alignment to math standards, coherence across units, and instructional clarity
  • Assist with lesson-embedded math assessments and differentiation guidance
  • Conduct quality reviews of instructional materials for accuracy, rigor, consistency, and usability
  • Incorporate feedback across multiple revision cycles
  • Support formatting, version control, and documentation readiness

Job Type
We are currently seeking individuals who are interested in contract opportunities for up to 10 - 20 hours per week, with some flexibility week to week. Contractors may support specific grade bands. Strong contributors may be extended or engaged for additional work.
Location and Travel
We are a virtual organization, and this is a remote position. Travel will be required based on client needs.
About You
The requirements for this position are:
  • Experience supporting math curriculum development or instructional materials production
  • Familiarity with K-12 math standards and instructional best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort working from established direction rather than setting strategy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
  • Experience in K-12 education, education nonprofits, or district or state-facing work is a plus

Compensation
This position has a competitive hourly range of $60 - $85, depending on prior experience.
