Job Title: Part-Time Math Tutor (Junior High and High School)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Math Tutor to join our team at an alternative secondary school for the 2026-2027 school year. The tutor will work closely with the principal, instructional coach, and math teachers to support student success in mathematics. This role focuses on improving student math skills through individualized and small-group instruction, adhering to research-based tutoring practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the principal, instructional coach, and school math teachers to design and implement effective math tutoring strategies.
  • Provide individualized and small-group math instruction to junior high and high school students, focusing on areas of need.
  • Employ multiple methods and approaches to teach mathematical concepts, ensuring accessibility for diverse learners.
  • Utilize research-based tutoring best practices to guide instruction and monitor student progress.
  • Support classroom learning by aligning tutoring sessions with the school's math curriculum and goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and the principal about student outcomes.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to build student confidence and engagement in math.

Qualifications:
