Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $24-$29 per hour (est. $49,920-$60,320 per year)
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a member of the Caramoor Marketing Department, the Digital Marketing Manager has a multifaceted role that incorporates a knowledge of sales and marketing strategies, skill with relevant technology and software for event promotion, and a data-driven mindset to support Caramoor's audience development and revenue goals. This role operates as a thought partner with the Director of Marketing & Communications and leadership team to develop creative marketing solutions with a focus on website management, comprehensive ad plan execution, and departmental analytics.
The Digital Marketing Manager will oversee the lifecycle of marketing projects, ensuring that all digital and print initiatives are unified, on schedule, and optimized for maximum revenue impact. By bridging the gap between creative production and analytical performance, this position ensures that the department operates with high technical efficiency and meets the strategic objectives of the institution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Marketing
  • Drive departmental reporting by analyzing and interpreting summaries of web and marketing activity.
  • Monitor Google Analytics and related tools to assess audience behavior and leverage data for informed marketing decisions.
  • Design marketing research methods and analyses to drive data informed decisions across the organization.
  • Present findings to the department and make recommendations based on audience feedback and participation.
  • Support the development and design of internal reporting for board committees and stakeholders.
  • Manage the maintenance, security, and accuracy of the Caramoor website.
  • Collaborate on a process for seasonal event builds and ensure continuous event control within the content management system.
  • Coordinate with digital marketing partners to maximize SEO efforts and returns for all programmatic offerings.
  • Monitor the general marketing mailbox and facilitate internal communication processes for web related requests.
Project and Media Management
  • Lead the project management of marketing initiatives, managing timelines and internal workflows to ensure production deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the security and preservation of legacy digital assets including programs, photography, and video archives.
  • Engage in graphic design and simple video editing for digital platforms when needed to support the Marketing Department.
Advertising
  • Manage the execution of the full advertising plan including digital, print, and radio campaigns.
  • Collaborate with leadership on the development of marketing strategy and earned revenue goals.
  • Coordinate with agencies and local media partners on the creation and execution of advertising campaigns.
  • Manage the timeline for all deliverables to ensure print and digital publication deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that marketing programs and ad placements are unified and consistent across all departments.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in marketing operations, digital strategy, or communications.
  • Demonstrated experience using data to create successful marketing and sales strategies.
  • Experience at nonprofit and cultural institutions a plus.
Software and Technology Expertise
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Analytics, and related tools. Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator proficiency a plus. Experience with ticketing systems, CRM systems and CMS a plus.
Personal Attributes
  • A tech savvy professional with a passion for music and the arts and a creative mindset towards selling tickets and achieving attendance and revenue goals.
  • A willingness to respect Caramoor's dedication to DEIA initiatives, and to support the ongoing implementation of a multi-year strategic plan devised by the CEO and the Board of Trustees.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with a focus on creative problem solving.
  • Must be able to work on-site in our administrative office on Caramoor's 81-acre, wooded campus.
  • Flexibility to attend weekday evening and weekend events, particularly during the summer season.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
