We're immediately hiring for the position of Stocker Associate. Experienced Retail Associates and Stockers are Needed!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES for Stockers (responsibilities include, but are not limited to:)
  • Organizes and stocks Food display areas per store's layouts, planograms and standards
  • Setting up and maintaining the condition of the Food Department
  • Ensures Food is handled, stocked, rotated and merchandised. Checks temperature for damage and unacceptable quality, follows established return procedures with immediate supervisor
  • Ability to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate Food products per Marukai's standards
  • Proactively supports any promotional activity within the store and contributes to an effective working environment
  • Breaking down pallets, separating Food products for sales floor, cooler and/or back room prep area
  • Processing Food products
  • Maintains a well-organized back stock/cooler area
  • Ensures that all Food products are in it's right place, so shoppers can find what they need quickly and easily
  • Maintains good communication with store management, associates and suppliers/vendors
  • Serves as a back-up for the Food Department's other sections and in other departments as needed
  • Stocking empty shelves and helps customer service department when the line gets long
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the store/ store upkeep
  • Notifies immediate supervisor of out of stock products
  • Notifies immediate supervisor of price discrepancies
  • Must be knowledgeable of merchandise placement and location

• Must clean and sanitize work areas
Customer Service:
Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions
Engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques
Meets or exceeds Department's sales goals assigned through the efficient execution of Company policies and procedures
Maintains cleanliness of work area, storage area, and selling floor
Ensures a safe and clean work environment
Cross Training: Store Support Associates exemplify teamwork and are open to and willing to be trained and step-in when needed in all departments and similar skilled areas for filling and development opportunities.
Perform other tasks that would be instructed by Department Leader or Store Manager around the floor during busy times of the day
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, use ladders, scaffolds or their substitutes above 6 feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment.
• Must be able to use job related equipment such as a stepping ladder and dollies
• No experience required, but a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar work environment is preferred
• Previous experience as a Retail Associate, or Stocker preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without aid (up to 50lbs preferred)
• Must be able to be on their feet 8 hours a day, able to lift, stoop, bend, carry boxes frequently throughout the day
REQUIREMENTS
• Able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service
• Able to read, write, and do simple math problems
• Able to interpret, understand and follow instructions
• Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from the general public and management
• Ability to interact with all levels of management
• Must be able to operate pallet jack, scissor lift, baler, compactor and scrub machine
  • Possess a food handling license or the ability to acquire one
