Primary Function / Purpose of Position:
Set up and operate twisting machines to twist insulated conductors together for use as individual pairs or as part of a cable construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor twisting machines to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to prevent faults and production delays.
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged conductors by specifications.
  • Ensure production meets required specifications for voltage, footage, and twisting lay.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up machines and materials prior to production runs.
  • Monitor machine operations and production output.
  • Perform routine quality checks during production.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate production records as required.

Skills / Experience:

  • Some manufacturing or production experience preferred (training provided the right candidate).
  • Previous extrusion or wire and cable experience is a plus.
  • Basic math skills (addition and subtraction).
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • Good manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
