Job Description

Day shift position (5am-1:30pm) Machine Operator needed for a large wire extrusion facility located in Santa Ana, CA. Pay will be based on experience and typically between $20-$25 an hour (higher with extrusion experience). This role offers opportunities for learning and growth, with potential to advance into lead and supervisory roles. The ideal candidate will be trained to operate equipment such as cable, braiding, striping, bonding, and taping machines to meet specific production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment according to work orders, specifications, and drawings.
  • Perform line clearance to ensure all materials from previous jobs are removed before starting new work.
  • Verify materials and part numbers against work orders before processing.
  • Complete necessary production documentation, including setup sheets, inspection records, and material verification forms.
  • Update setup sheets when changes occur and ensure all documentation is signed, dated, and approved.
  • Accurately report production quantities and hours worked daily at the end of each shift.
  • Handle materials properly, including wrapping, labeling, and returning unused materials to inventory promptly after job completion.
  • Ensure all packages, reels, and bags are correctly labeled according to company requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures and report issues to supervision as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
