Position: Low Voltage Technician Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience Job description: C.M. Armitage, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Low Voltage Technician to support our growing workload across commercial and service projects

This role is ideal for someone experienced in fire alarm, security, access control, and structured cabling systems who takes pride in quality workmanship and problem solving in the field. Why C.M. Armitage

Established local contractor with consistent Low Voltage demand Predictable weekday schedule Organized dispatch and realistic workloads Professional, safety-first culture Long-term employment - not tied to the length of one project Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test low voltage systems including: Fire alarm systems Access control systems Security/camera systems Intercom and communication systems Perform work in all construction phases (rough-in through final commissioning) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system issues Complete service calls and required documentation in a timely manner Communicate effectively with project managers, foremen, and customers Follow all company safety protocols and jobsite requirements Required Qualifications 4+ years of low voltage experience (preferred) Strong working knowledge of: Wiring methods, circuits, and system components Low voltage cabling types and installation techniques Ability to read blueprints and schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid NYS driver's license (clean record required) Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work from ladders Dependable, professional, and team-oriented What We Offer Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Company vehicle (for qualified candidates/roles) 401 (k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Paid time off Professional development assistance Long-term career growth with a stable local company Work Details Full-time position In-person / field-based work Work throughout Rochester and surrounding areas Benefits: 401 (k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance On-the-job training Paid time off Vision insurance This is a full time position
