Job description

Job Summary:
PeopleSERVE, Inc. is seeking a Systems Services and Support Analyst to assess business impacts of incidents and provide technical support. The role involves troubleshooting application issues, coordinating with development teams, and providing on-call support as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Assess business impact of incidents through direct customer interaction
• Troubleshoot and analyze batch and application issues, ensuring prompt resolution
• Resolve incidents using application tools and databases
• Coordinate with development teams to migrate fixes into production
• Provide on-call support during weekdays and weekends as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of hands-on experience deploying and supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale
• 4+ years of experience in cloud support (AWS), including migration and operating resilient platforms
• Experience with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes
• Strong background in distributed and highly concurrent service-based architectures
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting, etc.) for automation
• Experience managing infrastructure using tools such as IAM, ARM, Terraform, and Chef
• Solid understanding of cloud computing and DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk)
• Extensive experience with Oracle and PL/SQL, including writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot code in PL/SQL, Perl, and Shell scripting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve data quality issues, system functionality concerns, and business queries
• Experience providing support for trading, portfolio management, and research applications
• Technical proficiency in Linux, database systems, networking concepts, and ITSM best practices
• Ability to evaluate platforms and recommend improvements in automation, security, and CI/CD practices
• Passion for technology and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to mentor and lead team members effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Quick learner with an analytical mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
Preferred:
• Master’s degree is a plus
• Experience with batch scheduling software such as Autosys is a plus
• Previous experience in financial services is a plus
