Lawn Care Professional
Lawn Doctor of St. Charles
Are you already working in professional lawn fertilization and weed control-and know you bring more to the table than the average technician?
If you have real experience in turf applications, fertilizer programs, weed control, aeration, overseeding, lawn diagnostics, and customer-facing service, we want to talk with you.
Lawn Doctor of St. Charles is a locally owned branch of a trusted national brand, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, understands the importance of consistency, and wants to be part of a team where performance matters.
This is a full-time seasonal role for someone who already understands the lawn care industry-or someone with highly related turf treatment experience who is serious about learning our systems quickly and correctly.
We are not hiring for general mowing, landscaping, or irrigation experience alone. Those skills may be helpful, but this role specifically requires an understanding of turf treatment, lawn health, and professional application work.
What This Role Looks Like
You will provide professional lawn treatments while representing our company with the kind of reliability, ownership, and professionalism customers remember.
This includes:
  • Performing fertilization, weed control, aeration, overseeding, and related turf services with consistency and accuracy
  • Reading lawn conditions and recognizing issues such as weed pressure, turf thinning, stress, and seasonal changes
  • Operating application equipment safely and correctly while respecting equipment and materials
  • Following service routes efficiently without sacrificing quality
  • Communicating professionally with homeowners when needed
  • Documenting services and lawn conditions accurately using our mobile system
  • Helping identify service opportunities or concerns that need office follow-up
  • Keeping trucks, equipment, and materials organized and work-ready
  • Showing dependable attendance, punctuality, and self-management every day

Who Usually Succeeds Here
We look for people who naturally operate with the values that drive our team:
  • Resilient enough to handle weather, workload, and seasonal pace
  • Ownership-minded and dependable without needing constant oversight
  • Team-oriented while still taking personal pride in performance
  • Trusted to do quality work even when no one is watching
  • Service-focused with customers and solutions-minded in the field

What We Need From You
  • Direct lawn care industry experience in fertilization, weed control, turf treatment, or closely related application work
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow proven treatment processes
  • Clear communication and professional customer interaction
  • Reliable attendance throughout the season
  • Ability to pass or obtain required pesticide certification and state testing
  • Willingness to accept coaching, learn our systems, and continue improving

Pay, Training & Opportunity
  • Competitive hourly pay plus production bonuses
  • Paid training to sharpen skill, speed, and consistency
  • Advancement opportunities for strong performers
  • Company vehicle and professional equipment during work hours
  • Family-driven local culture with clear expectations
  • Opportunity for returning seasonal employment year after year

Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • Occasional Saturdays during peak season
  • Early morning start times required
  • Strong emphasis on attendance, safety, and professionalism
