Maintenance Technician - JLL
What this job involves: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of building systems through preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections, directly contributing to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences and maintaining world-class facilities that support our clients' business objectives.
What your day-to-day will look like:
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems and equipment
• Replace lighting and ballasts as needed throughout the facility
• Conduct comprehensive facility inspections and report on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations
• Update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems (WebTMA)
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas
• Identify and propose solutions for safety hazards
• Escalate problems or issues to customers and managers promptly
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance
• Basic plumbing knowledge and experience
• Basic electrical knowledge and experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights
• Capability to frequently climb, bend, lift, kneel, stoop, and work/extend overhead
• Ability to work in adverse conditions (extreme cold/hot temperatures)
• Ability to climb ladders up to 15 feet
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with CMMS systems (WebTMA preferred)
• Completion of safety training certifications
• Knowledge of hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal procedures
