Position title: WebSphere Engineer/Admin

Location: Vienna, VA (Locals or Nearby)

Duration: 6 Months+

No H1 only GC and US citizens

Required (Individual Role): Effective communications skills; written and verbal Skill in using PCs, including word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation applications Strong understanding of purpose and use for each test environment. Experience working with a team and individually to identify reasons for service interruptions caused by configuration changes. Desired (Role Family): Advanced degree or formal training Certification in appropriate engineering discipline Familiarity with financial industry Understanding of ITIL concepts and/or certification in ITIL Desired (Individual Role): 5+ Years experience working in IT Environment Management for large, complex and mission critical applications Proven ability to deliver detailed management information and interpretation of results Experience with Websphere and Mainframe configuration items including data, applications and infrastructure Experience supporting multi-tier applications in multiple environments. Experience with the Build and Release process as well as the SDLC. Strong understanding of WebSphere Engineering and Administration responsibilities Experience on Administrating the Middleware application servers (WebSphere/IBM BPM and Jboss). Good understanding of distributed platforms (Windows and Linux)

Additional information:

* The engineer will assist in the management of multiple, complex environments to ensure continuous availability in support of IT services / products including build, maintenance and testing through release. The focus or area of expertise will be on distributed / Websphere applications.
