Job Description

BeVera Solutions is seeking a UX/UI and Web Design Specialist to support layout modernization, user experience improvements, mobile-friendly design, and usability-focused enhancements for a federal public health website. This role will help assess how users interact with the site, recommend improvements to layout and presentation, support usability activities, and contribute to web product development efforts that improve clarity, usability, and engagement. The position supports the RFIโ€™s requirements for web product development, usability testing, and improvements to content layout, design, and mobile experience. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to BeVera Solutions, LLC.


NOTE: Position Contingent upon award of contract. This role is part of a pre-award candidate search for an upcoming federal government contract.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assess site layout, navigation, and presentation to recommend usability improvements.
  • Support UI/UX improvements for desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Help design or refine web products and digital tools aligned to agency standards.
  • Support usability assessments, focus groups, and user-centered feedback activities.
  • Develop design recommendations, wireframes, mockups, or annotated concepts as needed.
  • Coordinate with content and technical teams to implement approved design improvements.
  • Support efforts to improve editing efficiency, user interaction, and content discoverability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in UX design, web design, digital media, human-centered design, communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in UX/UI, web design, usability, or digital product design.
  • Experience improving navigation, layout, and mobile responsiveness for websites or digital products.
  • Familiarity with usability testing methods such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, or prototype testing.
  • Ability to communicate design rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal or public-sector digital properties.
  • Familiarity with Drupal design constraints, accessibility-aware design, and SEO-aware content presentation.
  • Experience with design and prototyping tools.
