Marketing Operations Manager

About the Opportunity:

Kalon Executive Search is partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing organization in the health, wellness, and consumer products industry to identify an experienced Marketing Operations Manager. This role is ideal for a data-driven marketing professional who enjoys balancing strategy with execution while working across digital marketing, CRM management, content development, analytics, and product commercialization.

The Marketing Operations Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute marketing initiatives, optimize digital platforms, support lead generation efforts, and drive brand awareness within a B2B environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to the growth of an expanding organization.

***This is a hybrid, on site position in Chicago, IL (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the company's CRM platform, including contact management, audience segmentation, and database maintenance.
  • Develop, launch, and optimize email marketing campaigns and automated customer journeys.
  • Build and manage workflows and marketing automation to support lead generation and customer engagement.
  • Partner with the sales team to align marketing initiatives with business development objectives.
  • Assist with website management, including content updates, search engine optimization (SEO), and overall site performance.
  • Maintain the company's presence across key B2B marketplace and digital marketing platforms.
  • Ensure product information, marketing content, and digital assets remain accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor platform engagement, lead generation performance, and return on investment.
  • Track and analyze marketing performance across multiple channels, including email marketing, social media, website traffic, paid advertising, digital platforms, and events.
  • Maintain marketing dashboards and prepare reports that provide actionable insights for leadership.
  • Utilize analytics tools to evaluate campaign effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Measure website performance and user engagement through web analytics platforms.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies across multiple channels.
  • Create compelling marketing content for email campaigns, landing pages, sales collateral, case studies, presentations, and social media.
  • Translate technical or complex information into engaging content tailored to business audiences.
  • Support product launches and commercialization efforts by coordinating marketing initiatives and promotional materials.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and technical teams to execute strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with project planning, campaign execution, and ongoing marketing operations.
  • Contribute ideas that strengthen brand awareness, customer engagement, and overall marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of professional marketing experience, preferably within a B2B environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms, including email marketing, workflow automation, reporting, and lead management.
  • Experience managing websites through content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, marketing analytics, and campaign performance measurement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong copywriting and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $80,000-110,000 base salary, depending on experience
