What does a website development intern do?

A Website Development Intern assists in designing, building, and maintaining websites under the guidance of senior developers. Their tasks may include coding using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other web technologies, testing website features, fixing bugs, and helping update website content. Interns also gain experience with web development tools and frameworks, collaborate with team members, and learn about best practices in web design and user experience. The role is designed to provide hands-on learning while contributing to real-world projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a website development intern?

To thrive as a Website Development Intern, you generally need foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with web design principles, often supported by coursework or relevant certifications. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication help interns collaborate and adapt in dynamic team environments. These skills ensure the intern can contribute to web projects efficiently, learn quickly, and support the team's goals in creating functional, user-friendly websites.
