Job description

Assistant Athletic Director

Purpose:

The person will have the responsibility of assisting the athletic director in overall management of the Twin Valley Community Local Schools Interscholastic Athletic Program.

Athletic Director

Essential Functions: 

  • Assist the Athletic Director in supervising the High School and Middle School athletic programs.
  • Assist the Athletic Director in implementing district and state regulations equally to all athletic programs
  • Implement and monitor the usage of the Athletic Code of Conduct.
  • Assists the Athletic Directory in supervision of contests.
  • Represent the district, as needed, at conference, district and state meetings.
  • Assist the Athletic Director in creating and broadcasting athletic information on social media and the athletic website.
  • Assist the Athletic Director in stocking and staffing of athletic concessions when necessary.
  • Assist the Athletic Director in scheduling of facilities for athletic teams and outside organizations.
  • Responsible for carrying out all other duties assigned by the Athletic Director and/or a district administrator.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel to other districts and/or locations for athletic contests or athletic meetings when applicable

Knowledge or Skills

  • Knowledge of athletics and athletics programs
  • Knowledge of OHSAA and District rules and regulations
  • Computer literacy, including but not limited to, website creation, social media and Google applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, administrators, athletes, parents, community members and fans.
