Job description

Webmethods Developer

Developer to deliver integration solutions on the webMethods platform. This person will work with a broad group of Business and IT stakeholders, utilizing best practices in webMethods and web service development to build integration solutions for project initiatives and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform webMethods solution design activities including requirements gathering, and design & development
  • Follow SAG webMethods methodology, which includes technical specifications, code reviews, unit & integration testing, and packaging of code
  • Support and maintain webMethods integrations, including real-time integrations, batch file integrations, and EDI integrations
  • Help to support and maintain production environment as needed.
  • Work with subject matter experts within business units to develop an understanding how data supports their business activities and needs
  • Work with solution architects and business analysts in translating solution requirements into state-of-the-art technical designs
  • Clearly document and communicate technical designs, solutions, and issues
  • Assist in the training and development of other team members, contribute toward the continuous improvement of the BI team and Integration team, and help to build the capabilities of the IT department
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team in developing testing plans and streamlining testing activities
  • Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of IT and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with webMethods development tools (Software AG version 10.3 product suite: Designer, Trading Networks, Universal Messaging, Active Transfer server and My webMethods)
  • Experience in webMethods Application Development, including web service development, publish/subscribe model in Universal Messaging, EDI, XML and Flat File translation, Error and Exception Handling
  • Strong ability to extract or deduce requirements from interviews with business users
  • Extensive experience with relational databases with a focus on Oracle
  • Understanding of entity relationship diagram conventions and various data modeling patterns (e.g.
