Scope of Project:
Provide application development, enhancement, support, ongoing maintenance, mentoring and expertise in an Oracle Java application environment and related Secure Software Development Lifecycle efforts and projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate existing and emerging technology, business requirements for the purpose of developing efficient, portable, and scalable solutions.

  • Analyze, design, code, test and maintain all phases of development in an Oracle Java and PL/SQL application environment.

  • Create documentation, and technical How-To presentations, as necessary, related to applications developed and maintained by the Applications unit.

  • Ensure security framework, implementation and maintenance are considered in solutions development.

  • Document and track project and task progress via in-house task system; support development of staff work and participate in all phases of application development.

  • Enhance and update application security via use of Oracle Java ADF framework; integrated database policy code; OID/LDAP, database triggers and PL/SQL packages for enforcement of application rules.

  • Support and debug application issues in an environment running Oracle Java and portal PL/SQL applications on Oracle OAS 10g with Portal, Oracle WebLogic 10g and newer.

  • Support applications developed using JDeveloper 9i, 10g, 11g against 10g database and integrated with 11g data warehouse; and report development using Oracle Reports.

  • Participate in review, development, and updates of application(s) as necessary, according to application development standards.

  • Meet and work with end-users to define, document and implement business requirements.

  • Provide training and mentoring of development staff.

Required Skills:
  • 84 Months experience as a web developer developing and maintaining Oracle Java (J2EE) web applications, using middle ware components ADF, SOA/BPM and support applications ADF 10g/higher.

  • 84 Months experience developing web applications using Oracle JDeveloper 10g and higher, configuring BC components/ data source and ADF security for web applications.

  • 72 Months experience as a lead Java web developer creating, maintaining and troubleshooting all aspects of Java web applications, including integration with authentication protocols and directories.

  • 72 Months experience with all phases of systems development life cycle for applications based on java frameworks.

  • 60 Months experience training and mentoring technical/programming staff.

  • 48 Months experience designing, developing and maintaining web services in a WebLogic Server platform.

  • 48 Months experience writing complex SQL or PL/SQL packages, procedures and functions.

  • 48 Months experience developing and supporting JDeveloper 9i applications.

  • 36 Months experience developing and supporting Oracle Reports.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
