To thrive as a Webflow Designer, you need a solid understanding of web design principles, responsive layouts, and experience using the Webflow platform, typically supported by a portfolio of completed projects. Familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is important, as is proficiency with the Webflow CMS. Strong communication, creativity, and attention to detail set standout designers apart when collaborating with clients or teams. These skills ensure the creation of visually engaging, functional, and user-friendly websites that effectively meet client goals.

How does a Webflow Designer typically collaborate with developers and other team members during a project?

As a Webflow Designer, you'll often work closely with developers, project managers, and content creators to bring websites from concept to completion. While Webflow enables designers to build fully functional websites visually, collaboration is essential for integrating advanced functionality, ensuring SEO best practices, and aligning with brand guidelines. Regular communication through meetings, feedback cycles, and shared documentation helps keep everyone aligned. You'll also be expected to provide clear handoffs and documentation for any custom code or integrations, ensuring a smooth workflow between design and development teams.

What is a Webflow Designer?

A Webflow Designer is a professional who uses the Webflow platform to design, build, and launch responsive websites without extensive coding. They leverage Webflow's visual development tools to create custom web layouts, animations, and interactions, making websites that are both visually appealing and functional. Webflow Designers often work closely with clients or teams to turn concepts into live, production-ready sites, streamlining the web development process. Many also have skills in user experience (UX), user interface (UI) design, and some knowledge of front-end development.

The Project:

We are migrating and consolidating two corporate websites into a single Webflow property as part of a brand integration. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Architect CMS collections for blog, resources, case studies, events, and product pages
  • Migrate existing content with clean URL mapping and 301 redirects to protect SEO equity
  • Implement on-page SEO fundamentals: metadata, schema markup, semantic structure, page speed optimization
  • Set up form integrations with our marketing automation platform
  • Configure analytics, tag management, and conversion tracking
  • Execute pre-launch QA across browsers and devices, then support launch and post-launch fixes
  • Document the build so our internal team can maintain it
Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional Webflow development experience with a portfolio of launched marketing websites
  • Proven experience migrating websites, including redirect strategy, SEO preservation, and consolidation of multiple sites or brands into a single web property
  • Strong command of Webflow CMS, interactions, custom code embeds (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), and Figma-to-Webflow workflows
  • Experience integrating Webflow with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Pardot
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, site performance optimization, structured data, and emerging AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) best practices
  • Experience supporting B2B SaaS, technology, or high-growth companies
  • Ability to work quickly, communicate clearly, manage multiple priorities, and proactively identify risks and dependencies
  • Available for standing check-ins in the U.S. Eastern business hours
