Our solutions help reduce energy consumption, lower utility, operating and maintenance costs, and improve indoor air quality, occupant comfort, and productivity. Technology that supports the buildings and industry of today and tomorrow requires a wide range of talents and skill sets.

Why Join Automated Logic?

This is more than an inside sales role. It is a structured development path designed to build future construction sales, owner-direct sales, major projects sales, and sales engineering talent. The Northeast BMS market offers significant growth opportunity and requires stronger coverage, disciplined selling, improved win rates, and a consistent pipeline of future sales professionals.

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will work with sales, estimating, operations, contractors, and customers while progressing through an 18- to 24-month program. You will build skills in BAS, WebCTRL, estimating, Salesforce, opportunity qualification, customer discovery, presentations, negotiation, account planning, and sales strategy.

The role is built for candidates with the right attitude, aptitude, curiosity, and work ethic. Prior BAS experience is helpful, but coachability, resilience, communication skills, organization, and competitive drive are equally important.

What You Will Do

As part of the sales organization, you will support active pursuits while developing the skills to qualify opportunities, communicate value, understand buying centers, support estimates and proposals, and contribute to disciplined pipeline growth.

  • Identify and qualify opportunities for building automation, controls, WebCTRL, service, renovation, and new construction solutions.

  • Partner with outside sales to research accounts, prepare outreach, support pursuit strategy, and advance opportunities.

  • Use Salesforce and related sales tools to maintain accurate account, contact, opportunity, activity, follow-up, and pipeline information.

  • Support estimating, Bidtracer activity, scope development, takeoffs, proposals, bid documentation, and customer deliverables.

  • Review specifications, drawings, control sequences, equipment schedules, and customer requirements to assess opportunity fit and strategy.

  • Work with sales, estimating, engineering, operations, service, project management, field engineering, and account teams.

  • Participate in field visits, job-site walks, equipment identification, panel reviews, and project observations to connect technical learning to real applications.

What Makes You Successful

The ideal candidate communicates well, asks thoughtful questions, stays organized, accepts coaching, and remains resilient. This person is motivated to learn the BAS business and grow into a customer-facing sales role.

  • Demonstrates coachability by seeking feedback, applying direction quickly, and keeping a growth mindset.

  • Shows curiosity by asking how systems work, what the customer is trying to solve, and how ALC can create value.

  • Communicates confidently, builds rapport quickly, and presents information clearly.

  • Maintains organization by following processes, keeping notes, updating CRM activity, and managing multiple priorities.

  • Shows competitive drive, resilience, and work ethic by staying positive and pursuing goals.

  • Develops selling discipline through conceptual selling, SPIN, strategic selling, negotiation, presentations, and account management.

This position follows an 18- to 24-month development path covering technical knowledge, sales process, communication, customer activity, field exposure, and leadership reviews.
