Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve a comprehensive compliance framework tailored to the virtual assets industry, ensuring adherence to relevant UK, EU, US and other laws and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the regulatory landscape and assess their impact on Ramp’s growth agenda and operation, providing timely updates and recommendations to the Management Team.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate new products, partnerships, services, and business initiatives for compliance with legal requirements and make necessary changes.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with third parties (external law firms, suppliers, statutory bodies) as required.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of applications, filings and other legal or corporate governance related documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of legal risk and implement remedial measures as needed.
  • Provide legal counsel and support to various business functions on a variety of matters, including product development, marketing, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel and consultants as necessary to address complex legal issues and regulatory challenges.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory developments to inform company strategy and decision‑making.
  • Educate and train employees on compliance legal matters, procedures, and regulatory requirements to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Draft and review commercial contracts such as partner and vendor agreements.
What you will bring

Experience leading or being a senior member of a Legal function with a focus on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and wider corporate and contractual law within the financial services or technology industry. Proven track record of successfully managing internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements and provide practical solutions to mitigate legal risk. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate legal concepts and requirements to diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership abilities, either formally or as a senior individual within a team, with experience working in cross‑functional teams and driving projects to completion in a fast‑paced environment, with an ability to work independently and handle a variety of different tasks from one day to the next. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of compliance.
