  • Perform or oversee regular backup operations and implement appropriate data protection, disaster recovery, retention, and failover procedures.
  • Support capacity planning, storage management, system performance, and database performance monitoring.
  • Maintain core networking technologies, including LAN and WAN connectivity, routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, wireless networks, and network security.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network firewalls and web application firewalls, including managed rules, custom rules, access restrictions, rate limiting, and application-layer threat protection.

  • Administer hybrid identity using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including multifactor authentication, role-based access, and conditional access.
  • Use monitoring, logging, patch-management, endpoint-security, remote-management, and ticketing tools.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation using PowerShell or similar technologies.

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • Five or more years of network administration, system administration, cloud administration, or managed IT services experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems, networking software, hardware, and common networking protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure administration and hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and migration projects.

  • Experience with scripting, automation, and infrastructure management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security, storage, backup, data protection, disaster recovery, vulnerability management, and access control best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, documentation, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Hands-on experience working for or supporting a Managed Service Provider is a plus.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Azure, VMware, networking, Linux, security, or system-administration certifications are a plus.
