Web Services AdministratorsAbout Blue Rose Consulting Group

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is a certified HUBZone and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting Federal customers with mission-focused technology, professional services, and operational support. We are building a team for the anticipated Department of State Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) effort supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology, Enterprise Applications Directorate, Office of Consular Systems and Technology.

About the Role

Administer, secure, monitor, and maintain web services and platforms supporting consular applications and reports at domestic and overseas locations. This position supports the Department of State Consular Affairs global information technology environment, which includes domestic and overseas facilities, on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, databases, and enterprise support services. This is a contingent position based on contract award and final customer requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Administer IIS, Apache, WebLogic, or comparable web and middleware platforms supporting enterprise applications and reports.

• Perform configuration management, change control, patching, security updates, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.

• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, renewals, keystores, and secure web-service configurations.

• Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and system health and perform tuning and optimization.

• Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures and support incident response and troubleshooting.

• Maintain accurate platform configurations, SOPs, technical documentation, and change records.

• Coordinate support and maintenance activities with overseas post personnel, application teams, security teams, and Government stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of experience administering IIS, Apache, WebLogic, or similar enterprise web platforms.

• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management, patching, security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and performance monitoring.

• Knowledge of backup, recovery, capacity planning, incident response, and configuration/change management.

• Ability to create clear technical documentation and coordinate support across distributed teams.

• Ability to support maintenance or incidents outside normal business hours when required.

• Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Department of State or overseas-post web environments.

• Experience with automation, cloud-hosted web platforms, load balancers, or reverse proxies.

• Microsoft, Red Hat, Oracle, AWS, Azure, Security+, or equivalent certification.
