Job Description

ProSidian Consulting seeks a Web Developer to support and participate in a project supporting The Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Human Resource Center. The Web Developer plays an integral role by effectively participating in day to day operations and by offering quality service and excellence in the administration provided for the OASAM. The duties of this position include identifing technology and services available for the development of new systems, responding to various information technology (IT) requirements driven by government-wide or DOL-wide initiatives, and responding to various IT requirements driven by consumer demand or VETS program managers This role supports the management, to include relationships and important deliverables and helps support others on the project through a positive attitude and effective communication with appropriate stakeholders. 

This project provides human resources and management contracting support services for the Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Human Resource Center. This project will include budget and finance, program development, analysis, evaluation, information technology, general project administration and curriculum development and training.

This Office (OASAM) is responsible for the development of policies, standards, procedures, systems and materials, related to the resource and administrative management of the Department. The Human Resources Center (HRC) is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and expertise in all areas related to management of the Department's human resources, including recruitment and development of staff, management of personnel systems, leadership in labor management partnership and improving and supporting work and family life.

Identify technology and services available for the development of new systems

Respond to various information technology (IT) requirements driven by government-wide or DOL-wide initiatives

Respond to various IT requirements driven by consumer demand or VETS program managers

Develop and implement policy and procedures in the area of IT security

Provide planning for IT Capital Investment

Provide Enterprise Architecture support

Provide online data collection support

Provide helpdesk support

Provide Web site design, deployment and maintenance

Coordinate with the DOL Information Technology Center (ITC) and the Assistant Secretary for Policy (ASP) to access the DOL Intranet/Internet LAN WAN server environment (as applicable) to deploy or update applications into full production.

Perform other related job duties as requested.

Qualifications

Associate's degree 

Minimum three (3) years' experience with web based applications including development, design and knowledge of interfaces with other applications

Excellent oral, technical, and written presentation and communication skills

  • Business Tools - understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office.  The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
