Job description

Salary:

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Provide technical support to HutchCC students, faculty, and staff. Junior and Senior designations will be applied to the job title where appropriate to skill level and experience.

Essential:

  • Enter and update tickets in the ITS support call processing
  • Act as part of the ITS support
  • Help maintain HutchCC information
  • Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully perform the responsibilities of the position.
  • Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.


Secondary:

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Technical Support Manger.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Information technology support experience
  • Phone support experience and troubleshooting skills are
  • Energetic, self-motivated personality is
  • Experience with a variety of web browsers
  • Preference given to applicants with Windows, Mac, and OpenVMS
  • Physical activities will include lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing/pulling, carrying, etc.; visual acuity to view a computer terminal; use appropriate judgment and apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; ability to understand words and respond effectively and appropriately. Heavy, indoor/outdoor work environment.
  • Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.
  • Physical and mental qualifications must be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • The qualifications listed are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to perform the duties.


HOURLY WAGE and STATUS:

The hourly rate of pay is commensurate with qualifications as determined by HutchCC administration. This full-time support staff position is 12 months annual, benefit eligible, at-will, and non-exempt.
