Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote
Duration: 12 Months
Work Schedule: 35 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager – Digital Services to oversee the development and delivery of public-facing digital experiences.

The successful candidate will partner with internal teams, government agencies, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver high-quality digital products and web experiences from planning through launch.

Projects may include digital experiences supporting areas such as affordable housing, benefits access, relocation services, and other public services.

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the complete project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, tracking, stakeholder communication, quality assurance, and final delivery. The role will serve as a key communication link between internal and external stakeholders while ensuring projects remain aligned with objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes.

Scope of Services

The Senior Project Manager will:

  • Oversee projects from initiation and planning through delivery and launch.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Coordinate project activities across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication cadences.
  • Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate meetings and help resolve issues and blockers.
  • Document project decisions, agreements, and action items.
  • Escalate issues and risks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure project activities remain aligned with established objectives and deliverables.
  • Set up and manage user stories, tasks, and workflows within Azure DevOps.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing cross-channel digital projects.
  • Hands-on experience delivering high-quality websites and web features from inception through launch.
  • Experience developing project schedules, communicating project updates, setting expectations, and managing stakeholders.
  • Ability to proactively plan and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Experience identifying, communicating, and escalating issues for resolution.
  • Ability to define project scope, goals, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching project teams to remove blockers and identify dependencies that may impact delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of software delivery best practices.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar ticketing, project management, and issue-resolution platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with leadership, subject matter experts, technical teams, and decision makers.
  • Experience coaching teams and driving successful project outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
  • Experience establishing and configuring project management tools for teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience managing quality assurance and testing processes.
  • Experience managing and executing software release processes.
  • Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with technical and engineering teams.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Background in journalism, writing, communications, or marketing.
