The Web Content Manager leads a high-performing team and personally drives the planning, optimization, and day-to-day execution of content across GuideStone's public-facing digital properties. This role owns the full lifecycle of web content-from strategy to publishing to performance-and plays a critical role in how we attract, engage, and serve our customers across B2B and B2C audiences.

Success in this role requires a balance of hands-on expertise and strong leadership, bringing deep digital acumen, decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership to efforts that directly impact customer experience, acquisition, and retention, delivering digital experiences that achieve desired business outcomes.

What You'll Do:

Team Management:

  • Lead, develop, and empower a team of web content strategists while setting a high bar for performance and accountability

  • Act as a working leader-personally contributing to complex initiatives, problem-solving, and execution where needed

  • Establish clear priorities, streamline intake, and ensure the team is focused on the highest-value work

Web Content Management:

  • Through ongoing collaboration, drive GuideStone's web content strategy, ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes

  • Lead the development and execution of high-impact web initiatives, campaigns, and experiences-not just contribute to them

  • Shape the end-to-end user journey across our sites, including navigation, content architecture, CTAs, and conversion strategy

  • Translate business goals into digital experiences that drive engagement, lead generation, and growth

  • Provide input into CMS roadmap and development priorities, advocating for features that improve usability, performance, and personalization

  • Ensure strong governance, consistency, and quality across all web properties

Analytics, SEO & Optimization:

  • Lead web analytics strategy and reporting, translating data into clear, actionable insights

  • Own and evolve SEO/GEO/AEO strategy, ensuring GuideStone is discoverable and competitive in search

  • Partner on paid search and paid social efforts to strengthen alignment between organic and paid performance

  • Serve as business owner for tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console

Quality, Compliance & Accessibility:

  • Ensure all web experiences meet high standards for functionality, performance, and user experience across devices

  • Own adherence to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and regulatory requirements

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience for all users

Strategy:

  • Lead the evolution of GuideStone's digital presence by continuously evaluating competitor websites, content architecture, personalization strategies, and conversion tactics-translating insights into actionable improvements.

  • Stay ahead of emerging digital trends and proactively introduce new ideas, capabilities, and best practices that strengthen performance and user experience.

  • Define, implement, and uphold best-in-class UX standards across all web properties, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and effective experience for every audience.

General:

  • Deep understanding of the full digital marketing mix, with the ability to confidently translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities and/or Relationships

  • Manages team of Web Content Strategists

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders/internal clients.

  • Lead project planning and execution for various web related projects.

  • Manage and lead communication/relationships with third party vendors and agencies.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or related field

  • 7+ years of digital marketing or web experience, including 2+ years leading teams

  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and drive measurable results

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise CMS platforms (Sitecore preferred) and working knowledge of HTML/CSS

  • Strong expertise in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Google Search Console), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate web data, user behavior, and engagement metrics into actionable improvements

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern web tools

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Self-motivated, high-integrity professional with sound judgment and discretion
