Job description

Job Description

Renesas is seeking an experienced Product Manager, Web to join our global Web Product team and help shape the digital experiences that connect customers, partners, and engineers with Renesas products, solutions, technical resources, and services.

This role will support renesas.com and its connected web and digital properties, managing a portfolio of customer-facing experiences and platform capabilities across the Renesas web ecosystem. You will define product direction, translate business and customer needs into actionable roadmaps, and work closely with engineering, design, content, technical documentation, marketing, and our product group teams to deliver measurable improvements.

The ideal candidate combines strong product management fundamentals with the technical curiosity required to work in a complex semiconductor and digital-product environment. Experience within the semiconductor industry, an electrical engineering background, or experience building products for engineers and other highly technical audiences is strongly preferred.

Reporting to the Head of Product, Web & Digital, this position offers the opportunity to influence the digital experience of a global semiconductor company while working across a broad portfolio of high-impact initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and advance product roadmaps for assigned areas of renesas.com and related digital properties, aligning priorities with customer needs, business goals, platform strategy, and available team capacity.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Renesas customers, including engineers, developers, buyers, partners, and other technical audiences, and use those insights to identify opportunities, address friction, and improve the end-to-end digital experience.

  • Lead product discovery activities, including stakeholder interviews, customer research, analytics reviews, journey analysis, competitive research, problem definition, solution evaluation, and concept validation.

  • Translate product strategy and business requirements into clearly defined initiatives, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, prototypes, and measurable success criteria.

  • Maintain and prioritize a healthy product backlog, balancing roadmap commitments, operational needs, technical improvements, customer-impacting issues, dependencies, and emerging opportunities.

  • Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams throughout estimation, planning, development, testing, launch, and post-launch optimization.

  • Collaborate with UX and visual design teams to define intuitive, accessible, and scalable experiences across desktop and mobile channels.

  • Coordinate with content, technical documentation, product marketing, product-line, sales, support, and regional stakeholders to ensure solutions are accurate, useful, launch-ready, and supported by the necessary content and business processes.

  • Define and monitor product metrics using quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate adoption, customer behavior, usability, operational performance, and business impact.

  • Partner with the AI Product Enablement Lead and other team members to identify responsible opportunities to improve customer experiences and product-management workflows through AI, automation, semantic search, and emerging digital capabilities.

  • Help improve product-management standards, reusable processes, documentation, and operating practices across the Web Product team.

  • Communicate product direction, delivery status, decisions, risks, and results clearly to technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Five or more years of experience in digital product management, software product management, web product management, or a closely related role.

  • Experience managing global, multilingual, enterprise-scale websites or digital platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience owning complex digital products or platforms from discovery and strategy through delivery, launch, measurement, and optimization.

  • Strong understanding of modern product management practices, including customer discovery, roadmap development, prioritization, backlog management, requirements definition, agile delivery, experimentation, and product analytics.

  • Experience working closely with software engineering, UX design, content, analytics, and business teams in a highly cross-functional environment.

  • Experience managing multiple initiatives with competing priorities, dependencies, stakeholders, and delivery timelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data, research, and customer feedback to make sound product decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization.

  • Ability to operate effectively within a global, matrixed organization and collaborate across business functions, regions, cultures, and time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the semiconductor, electronics, embedded systems, or broader technology industry.

  • Professional or academic experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, embedded systems, or a related technical field.

  • A minimum of a basic familiarity with how engineers research, evaluate, select, design with, and obtain support for semiconductor products.

  • Experience working with technical product information such as parametric data, datasheets, application notes, reference designs, software and development tools, evaluation boards, technical models, quality documentation, or product lifecycle data.

  • Familiarity with content management systems, search platforms, APIs, structured data, analytics tools, experimentation platforms, personalization, cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks, and identity or customer-portal technologies.

  • Experience incorporating AI, semantic search, automation, or agent-based capabilities into digital products or product-management workflows.

  • Experience managing vendor-supported products, platform usage, licensing considerations, or technology budgets.

  • Master's degree or MBA.
