About the team

Zillow Group's growing Marketing Web team is looking for a skilled and experienced Product Designer to lead UX across Marketing web surfaces. As the Product Designer in a marketing function you will be responsible for setting UX strategy and raising the quality bar across Marketing Web surfaces to deliver exceptional customer-centric solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including; Marketing Channels, Product Marketing, Marketing Tech & Operations, Creative Studio, Design Systems and Engineering, to create intuitive and engaging user experiences across B2B and B2C Marketing websites. We are looking for a candidate who is adept at collaborating across teams, analyzing data to provide recommendations, and optimizing performance based on business goals. As someone who thrives in ambiguous situations and enjoys taking on new challenges, you are able to adapt in the ever-evolving field of online marketing. In this role, you will work collaboratively with others to define and evolve the CMS design system and component standard for all Marketing Web surfaces. About the role
  • Lead UX strategy and CMS design system vision across marketing web surfaces including landing pages, microsites, onsite merchandising, and editorial blog content.
  • Evolve a design system library and guidelines for all marketing owned web surfaces, ensuring brand and product cohesiveness across the overall web platform experience of Zillow.com.
  • Design self-service, reusable web patterns in Figma that achieve parity with CMS capabilities, enabling marketers to establish a scalable foundation that reduces dependency on Engineering for standard marketing use cases.
  • Work with CMS developers to design new, custom design patterns and CMS components that meet the needs of marketing web use cases and bring your design system to life.
  • Partner with Product Design, Design Foundations, and Design Systems to ensure Marketing Web surfaces create a seamless journey from campaign entry into Zillow's product experience - sharing best practices, test results, and solutions across teams.
  • Design growth-focused, device-adaptable web interfaces for B2B and B2C surfaces that balance user needs with business metrics and conversion rates.
  • Work closely with Marketing Tech & Operations to QA the build of your designs to ensure consistency and adherence to your design system.
  • Partner with B2B and B2C Marketing Web teams to translate business goals into UX strategy and web design solutions.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the marketing wayfinding and landing page experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Synthesize quantitative performance data with qualitative user insights to validate design decisions, identify friction points, and prioritize improvements across Marketing Web surfaces.
  • Explore and integrate AI-enabled design and content creation tools to scale Marketing Web production without proportional engineering investment.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions. In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $125,900.00 - $201,100.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia the standard base pay range for this role is $119,600.00 - $191,000.00 annually. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.

Who you are
  • Please submit a portfolio and resume demonstrating systems-level UX work, web design across B2B and B2C contexts, and measurable business impact
  • 5+ years working in web Marketing, Design or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product or UX Designer, leading Marketing UX design projects from strategy to implementation.
  • Experience shipping products or web-based projects that get meaningful results for customers and businesses.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Deep experience designing within component-based CMS and design-system environments, with a track record of raising standards for reuse and scalability (i.e. WordPress)
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills; you are very comfortable with data analysis and able to use data to understand performance, make recommendations, optimize funnels and influence decisions.
  • Excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills (written and oral) and an ability to articulate and rationalize your decision choices.
  • You should be able to build bridges with internal teams to execute on key initiatives.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in a fast-moving environment.
  • You are skilled in working with a cross-functional team and adapting to changing business needs.
  • You have a systems thinking approach and the ability to identify and scale patterns independently.
  • Track record of validating design decisions through research and testing, and translating findings into measurable improvements for users and the business.
  • Able to balance near-term Marketing delivery with establishing a scalable, future-ready foundation for Marketing Web.
