Description & Requirements

The Bloomberg CTO Office is the future-looking technical arm of Bloomberg L.P. We envision, design, and guide the creation of our next generation infrastructure, platforms, frameworks, and applications that interface across all aspects of the company. We are passionate about what we do.

Bloomberg’s web ecosystem supports a broad set of client-facing enterprise applications, internal web properties, content experiences, and developer workflows. These experiences are built on top of a shared web platform, framework, design system, publishing tools, and asset distribution infrastructure that help teams deliver secure, consistent, performant, and maintainable products at scale.

This role will be responsible for shaping how Bloomberg teams create, publish, distribute, and evolve modern web experiences. The platform includes our web design system, content management capabilities, static asset distribution systems, and the web application SDLC tooling required to support a healthy web ecosystem. Together, these capabilities support both high-impact client-facing enterprise web applications and a large portfolio of internal web experiences.

What’s in it for you

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to define and execute the vision and roadmap for Bloomberg’s Web Platform and Frameworks. As a product manager, you will focus on the end-to-end experience of the developers, designers, content creators, and application teams who build and maintain Bloomberg’s web presence.

You will help Bloomberg teams deliver better web experiences faster by reducing undifferentiated heavy lifting across design, development, content publishing, asset distribution, release, measurement, and long-term maintenance. You will make decisions about platform standards, design system adoption, content workflows, framework capabilities, governance models, and the tooling required to support a modern, scalable web ecosystem.

You will partner closely with engineering, UX, infrastructure and enterprise product teams, and internal application owners. This is a high-leverage role in a highly cross-functional environment, so you’ll need to balance product judgment, technical depth, operational rigor, and stakeholder influence.

We’ll trust you to

Define the product vision and roadmap for Bloomberg’s Web Platform and Frameworks, spanning the web design system, CMS capabilities, static asset distribution systems, and supporting SDLC tooling.

Shape platform standards that improve consistency, accessibility, performance, reliability, security, maintainability, and speed of delivery across Bloomberg’s web ecosystem.

Partner with UX and engineering to evolve the web design system as an opinionated but flexible foundation for creating consistent, high-quality Bloomberg web experiences.

Drive adoption of shared web standards, reusable components, CMS capabilities, asset distribution practices, and SDLC best practices across client-facing and internal web properties.

Balance competing needs across design system maturity, CMS evolution, content publishing workflows, platform reliability, migration programs, technical debt reduction, compliance requirements, and stakeholder requests.

You’ll need to have

7+ years of experience in technical product management, platform product management, web experience platforms, design systems, content platforms, developer experience, or a senior engineering role.

A proven track record of creating product visions and roadmaps, evaluating technical and user-experience trade-offs, prioritizing across many stakeholders, and delivering platform capabilities at scale.

Strong understanding of modern web experience delivery, including component-based UI development, design systems, content workflows, accessibility, performance, release practices, measurement, and maintainability.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across engineering, UX, product, brand, security, infrastructure, legal/compliance, content teams, and senior leadership.

We’d love to see

A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field of study, or equivalent work experience.

Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Node.js, web components, design tokens, accessibility standards, static site generation, content delivery networks, and/or modern front-end build systems.

Experience building or managing design systems, component libraries, CMS platforms, developer portals, documentation systems, content publishing workflows, or self-service platform tooling.

Experience with web performance, reliability, security, privacy, accessibility, internationalization, brand governance, and content governance in a large enterprise environment.

Experience defining platform health metrics, developer experience metrics, design system adoption metrics, and content publishing effectiveness metrics.

Salary Range = 140,000-295,000 USD Annual+ Benefits + Bonus.

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.

We offer one of the most comprehensive and generous benefits plans available and offer a range of total rewards that may include merit increases, incentive compensation (exempt roles only), paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability benefits, 401(k) +match, life insurance, and various wellness programs, among others.

The Company does not provide benefits directly to contingent workers/contractors and interns.
