Job description

Duties * You will provide logistics technical assistance and guidance for supply support functions on all logistics topics, issues and concerns. * You will determine the logistics support resources for maintenance planning, technical data, training, facilities, computer resources, and packaging requirements necessary to test, integrate and sustain throughout acquisition life cycle. * You will assist in the development, planning and execution of the logistics program budgets and the development processes associated with the development. Requirements Conditions of employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. This requirement is called time-in-band. Qualifications DS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to some or all of the following: 1) Evaluating, coordinating, or developing acquisition requirements and documentation for aircraft systems, weapons programs, or complex technical equipment; 2) Analyzing, executing and optimizing comprehensive product support plans, lifecycle sustainment strategies, and supply chain logistics to maintain system reliability; 3) Managing, auditing, or serving as a primary user of aviation maintenance management databases (such as aviation logistics systems or complex enterprise asset databases) to identify trends, ensure data accuracy, and generate reports to guide operational decisions. DS-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to some or all of the following: 1) Assisting with tasks related to the acquisition, purchasing, or procurement of aircraft, weapons systems, or associated aviation components; 2) Performing routine tracking, planning, or monitoring of product support, supply chains, or long-term equipment maintenance to ensure operational readiness; 3) Utilizing specialized database management systems such as aviation maintenance databases, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or similar asset tracking software to input, track, and retrieve logistics or maintenance data. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: DS-04 Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related DS-03: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
