Position Overview

We are seeking a Threat Management & Investigations Analyst who will play a critical role in supporting day-to-day operations focused on safeguarding clients, content, and intellectual property by identifying, assessing, and mitigating emerging threats. This role will leverage intelligence analysis, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and investigative methodologies to identify risks, provide actionable insights, and support security and cross-functional partners in making informed safety and business decisions.

The Analyst will be responsible for developing and refining social media, deep web, and dark web monitoring strategies through industry-leading intelligence platforms, including Liferaft and Ontic. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of threat dynamics, investigative experience, technological proficiency, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable intelligence.

This is a full-time, fully remote position requiring availability during EST hours and offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Essential Job Functions
  • Manage intelligence platform vendors and resources (Ontic/Liferaft), while continuously improving intelligence collection capabilities, source coverage, and monitoring processes.

  • Develop and maintain social media, open-source, deep web, and dark web monitoring strategies to identify emerging threats impacting clients, content, intellectual property, and business operations.

  • Create and refine intelligence collection requirements, search queries, and monitoring methodologies to support proactive threat identification and analysis.

  • Conduct due diligence reviews, background research, and investigative support in collaboration with internal teams and security stakeholders.

  • Maintain and enhance the Person of Interest database, ensuring accurate documentation, case tracking, and visibility across regional security teams.

  • Analyze collected intelligence to identify trends, assess potential threats, and produce actionable intelligence reports, assessments, and executive briefings.

  • Support threat assessments and targeted violence risk evaluations using structured professional judgment methodologies and established threat assessment frameworks.

  • Conduct investigations into physical security, content security, and intellectual property incidents, including evidence collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with global security teams, law enforcement partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to support threat mitigation and incident response efforts.

  • Provide timely escalation of emerging threats and security concerns while operating with discretion and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant intelligence experience within the private sector, with a focus on threat management, protective intelligence, investigations, or risk analysis.

  • Advanced knowledge of open-source intelligence (OSINT), social media intelligence (SOCMINT), public records research, deep/dark web research techniques, and intelligence collection methodologies.

  • Experience utilizing intelligence platforms and threat monitoring tools such as Ontic, Liferaft, or similar systems.

  • Experience conducting threat assessments and utilizing structured professional judgment guides for targeted violence risk evaluation.

  • Strong investigative skills with the ability to conduct thorough, objective, and unbiased investigations.

  • Experience developing intelligence products, including written assessments, executive summaries, and threat briefings for technical and executive audiences.

  • Experience collaborating with global teams, law enforcement agencies, and external partners.

  • Experience supporting security operations within the technology, media, entertainment, or other high-profile industries preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment while maintaining sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology, International Relations/Political Science, Forensic Science, Psychology, Law, or related field.
