Overview

At Esri, we are dedicated to helping our customers realize the business value and impact of ArcGIS. We invite you to contribute your experience copywriting, developing content strategy, and applying your understanding of user behavior to hone messaging that resonates with our target audiences. In this role, you'll ensure our content is visible to target audiences across search platforms, including AI. Our design teams, SMEs, and digital experience strategists are excited to collaborate with you on a strategic and holistic approach to Esri's web content.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Content Leadership. Implement and refine content strategies and processes that directly influence customer journey completion and increase KPIs. Mentor team members and stakeholders to ensure quality, accuracy, and creative cohesion across projects.
  • Creative Excellence. Write, edit, and provide guidelines for high impact marketing copy across Esri.com. Establish and refine brand voice and messaging frameworks.
  • AI-Driven Innovation. Leverage AI writing and optimization tools to scale production, improve content performance, and enhance personalization while maintaining editorial integrity.
  • Data and Insights. Partner with analytics teams to evaluate metrics, analyze performance trends, and apply insights to drive strategy, engagement, and optimization.
  • Thought Leadership. Represent Esri's content discipline across teams and external engagements, championing best practices and elevating content marketing standards across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience developing and managing web content and digital marketing initiatives for large-scale or enterprise websites
  • Proven mastery in writing, editing, and storytelling across web and marketing channels, with the ability to translate complex topics into accessible, engaging narratives
  • Strong expertise of SEO, SEM, web analytics, and content performance metrics
  • Proven success leading large-scale web or digital content programs
  • Experience implementing AI and automation to enhance content workflows and performance
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, and delivering results on time and within scope
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, influence stakeholders, and uphold editorial standards
  • Proactive problem solver who applies creativity, data, and critical thinking to achieve business goals
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, or a related field 
  • Occasional travel may be required (up to ~20%); travel needs may vary based on business requirements
