Job description

Job Summary:
Saint Xavier University is seeking a Student Media Webmaster responsible for updating and maintaining the department’s official website and overseeing social media presence. The role involves conducting website upgrades, uploading content, and ensuring compliance with copyright laws.
Responsibilities:
• In charge of maintaining the Department’s official website
• Conduct website upgrades when necessary
• Uploads the official PDFs of *The Xavierite*
• Update the website on a regular basis with new content
• Assure that no copyright laws are broken in the use of downloaded images, text, photos, videos, graphics, and other published materials to the website
• Monitor site for content
• Attend general staff meetings
• Is a member of the Student Media Leadership Committee
• Has experience utilizing WordPress for updating web content
• Has general HTML coding knowledge and experience
• Oversees the department’s social media presence and develops a strategy.
• Maintains weekly posted office hours (5 hours per week)
Qualifications:
Required:
• MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
• Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
• Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
• Has experience utilizing WordPress for updating web content
• Has general HTML coding knowledge and experience
• Maintains weekly posted office hours (5 hours per week)
Preferred:
• Background in Computer Science preferred.
