Job description

Description The Town of Andover's DEI commission seeks an intern to serve as the communications lead for the Commission to promote resident engagement. The successful candidate will ensure for the consistent presence of the work of the Commission across all social media platforms and the associated website. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative to develop, implement, and continuously improve communication strategies that enhance the Commission's outreach and engagement efforts.

Responsibilities Duties will include management of Andover DIVERSE web-site, production of a monthly e-newsletter, regular posts about the office and Commission events, activities and initiatives, networking with community groups to ensure wide audience reach, design and publication of event flyers, postcards and registration links, and active involvement in continuing to grow our subscriber mailing list. May be required to attend certain events to collect marketing materials for future advertisement initiatives. Qualifications The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience hosting, creating and managing web-pages, social media communications, have knowledge of and passion for the importance of equity, inclusion and access, and a solid working knowledge of desktop publishing.
