Job description

Creatuity Corp., a fast-growing e-commerce development firm, is seeking two part-time (20 hour/week) web development interns. Over the course of their internship, these interns will gain experience in almost every area of a web development firm, including software development as well as client and community relations. Preference will be given to University of Texas at Dallas students working through the Industrial Practice Program or students from other local universities working through a course-credit internships program - get paid AND get course credit

Responsibilities: Coordinate with our project teams to perform code reviews and develop bug fixes, improvements and enhancements to existing code (written in PHP). Implement new features and functionality on our new cloud-based e-commerce platform. Provide regular project status updates to clients and accept bug reports and new feature requests from clients via email as well as the phone, converting those to technical tasks.

Assist sales staff in replying to potential clients, gathering requirements and developing proposals. Engage with clients and the greater community via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, the Creatuity.com blog and various e-commerce-focused discussion forums. Requirements: Ability to describe technical topics in plain, non-technical customer-friendly English Ability to convert customer requirements into technical requirements Some knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP Written English skills Spoken English skills Ability to work 20 hours/week in our office for the duration of the internship Preferred: Experience with Facebook, Twitter and the WordPress blogging platform Experience in any type of sales or customer service About Creatuity Corp.: Founded in 2008, Creatuity creates quality ecommerce tools and websites that are affordable, fun and easy to use, enabling the smallest new venture to compete with the largest established company
