Position Overview

Are you a seasoned software developer who is passionate about building and scaling cloud services for world-class design and construction solutions? Do you have the skills and experience to design and implement reliable and trusted SaaS products that can handle large user base and complex data flow? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Docs team in Autodesk AEC Construction R&D is seeking a talented and highly motivated principal developer to join its development team, to build cloud services and products for its global customers in the construction industry. You will be part of a dynamic software development team, collaborating with global teams to deliver high quality cloud services that help customers transform to a cloud-powered Autodesk experience.

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical leader in full life cycle of software development

  • Contribute to the architecture evolution and platform development for Forma Data Management cloud services, working with various industry software experts and stakeholders

  • Be hands-on in the implementation and operation of cloud services, using web-based technologies and best practices

  • Solve challenging technical problems and provide innovative solutions for SaaS products that integrate with Autodesk's well-known tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.

  • Role model in high code quality, organization, and automationMentor and coach other developers and share your deep knowledge and expertise

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software development experience, preferably in SaaS or cloud-based products with proven track record of delivering results

  • Strong design and coding skills, with emphasis on quality, performance, and maintainability

  • Proficiency in web-based technologies, such as Java, Go, GraphQL, etc.

  • Has solid understanding of the product development lifecycle.- Experience in designing and developing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud services using AWS, or other cloud platforms

  • Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud operations at an enterprise level

  • Experience with distributed database technologies

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with ability to debug complex issues

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a global and diverse team as a technical leader and diplomat

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in big data analytics

  • Solid experience on building and maintaining event driven framework is a plus.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $131,000 and $191,400. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
