Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is looking for a Sr Salesforce Developer to join our Application Development team.  As a member of the Salesforce Development team, you will be responsible for accelerating software development and testing utilizing Salesforce Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.  We are looking for an individual with experience designing and deploying enterprise level applications in Salesforce. The ideal individual for this position will be a subject matter expert in setup, configuration, and developing Salesforce components, modules, and packages and can drive both technical design and development processes for delivering solutions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with Salesforce architect to translate roadmap items into technical designs
  • Lead technical implementation of architectural direction on projects and features
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical problems spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud (including Field Service)
  • Set and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and governor-limit-safe practices through hands-on code review
  • Own the technical health of the CI/CD pipeline (GitHub, Gearset), championing DevOps and release-management best practices
  • Develop applications utilizing Apex, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant components and packages
  • Write unit tests utilizing TDD for Apex and Lightning components
  • Implement Salesforce architecture patterns for security limits, and order of operations
  • Implementation of security and data protection
  • Setup and delivery of application development practices using GIT
  • Salesforce platform configuration and administrative tasks of medium to high complexity
  • Understanding of Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud as well as Heroku and MuleSoft.
  • Deliver solutions in an Agile - Scrum project methodology
  • Drive technical design ensuring adherence to defined software development methodologies, including logical and physical design.
  • Set procedures and best practices for Application Development team for delivering built-for-deployment applications in the cloud
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications
  • Ability to clearly communicate and explain complicated processes
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and practices to optimize workflows, automate testing, and support informed decision making.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of application development utilizing Salesforce development languages
  • Certifications:
    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required)
    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (preferred)
    • Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or equivalent architecture-track certification (a plus)
    • Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist or Data Cloud Consultant (a plus)

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Strong proficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and JavaScript languages
    • Strong understanding of web services and SOA related standards like REST/OAuth/JSON
    • Ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team using Agile methodology
    • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
    • Experience delivering applications on the Salesforce platform across multiple clouds, especially Sales and Service Cloud
    • Able to recommend and enforce industry best practices and patterns
    • Strong proficiency with data modeling
    • Strong understanding of object oriented programming and design
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
    • Must be well organized and comfortable owning outcomes
    • Team oriented, with a genuine interest in developing the people around you
