Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Minimum associate degree Business Administration or Technology. Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Technology a plus.

EXPERIENCE: Must have 3-5 years of previous sales Account management experience, dealing with customers and clients. Aerospace foundry experience a plus. Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Word.

General Description

Primary manager / coordinator and point of contact for all Sales with specific customers and clients, Production, Engineering and Quality issues pertaining to all assigned accounts shops. The Sales Account Manager will be the primary point of contact for all sales, delivery, quality, and engineering issues with assigned accounts. Must assist Production Control by establishing priorities and WIP for critical castings. Must work closely with the Customer Service Departments and help manage and maintain web-based scheduling systems. Must be a team leader for cost reduction and quality improvement. Must be able to recognize and understand pricing and communicate with the customer effectively.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Act as Direct Sales/Service Engineer for all assigned customer accounts
    • Follow-up on all open quotations
    • Assist with and coordinate on all engineering and/or quality issues.
    • Make routine customer site visits as required.
    • Maintain and distribute minutes from customer calls and internal visits.
    • Conduct contract reviews with customers
    • Provide management with periodic short and long-term sales forecasts.
    • Periodically assist with collection of past due invoices
  • Manage Customer Accounts Internally
    • Provide sales department with commitment dates on orders.
    • Provide feedback on orders to Production Control Manager
    • Compile and distribute weekly customer service & delivery status reports.
  • Manage Processing & Shipment of Critical Castings to Customers
    • Maintain and distribute WIP report for all critical castings.
    • Assist manufacturing in the establishment of shipment/processing priorities and monitor to ensure priorities are followed.
    • Work with customers' purchasing contracts related to WIP status and potential ship dates and quantities.
  • Provide leadership on Customer-Specific Improvement Initiatives
    • Work to reduce costs and increase profits on customer programs.
    • Recommend process improvements.
  • Predisposition to having a strong presence managing and solving problems.
  • Ability to interface with, influence and gain credibility with stakeholders across all levels including customersโ€™ purchasing managers and engineering staff, production supervisors and front-line employees.
  • Action-orientation with an ability to pro-actively drive results and manage progress.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts in a proficient and timely manner.
  • Strong presentation/communications skills
  • Strong understanding of negotiating contracts relating to sales of the casting.
