Solutions Engineer

This business unit is unique, and we certainly aren’t afraid to stand out from the crowd and tackle the bigger competitors.

Role Overview:
As a ShareFile Solutions Engineer you’ll use skills as a technology professional with an understanding of industry practices, company policies and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues in an imaginative and practical way. You must have strong technical knowledge of the products and must understand the value behind the solution. Your goal: identify and match technology opportunities with the ShareFile customer’s business issues and objectives. 

This includes:

·    Use professional concepts in providing primarily pre-sales technical support for the technical sales process of ShareFile solutions

·    Support the assigned ShareFile sales team from a technical perspective for opportunities in a pre-sales support capacity.

·    Leverage product understanding in your area of focus, to provide technical expertise to the closing sales team and customer through customer needs, overcoming objections, technical sales presentations, product demonstrations and product proof of concepts.

·    Participates in the consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.

·    Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products, or technologies.

·    Works with customers and partners to become their trusted advisor with regards to ShareFile Solutions and best practices.

·    Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as external spokesperson for the organization.

·    Establishes relationships and engage with the technical personnel to identify opportunities and sell Sharefile products and services.

·    Conducts product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely or at customer location

·    Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts to sales engineering management.

·    Consistently provides contribution to the broader team’s technical mindshare

·    Seen as a sales professional that can function as a sales representative as needed

·    Seen as a team leader and mentor who consistently goes above and beyond for peers and customers

Your superhero uniform includes: 

·    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

·    2 years prior engineering experience in a high-tech environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology

·    Ability to travel within assigned territory and other locations including ShareFile office locations approximately 10% of time

Your superhero strengths include:

  • Experienced ability to motivate, proactively train oneself, provide trainings for others, and conduct seminars
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Understanding of technical sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business use cases, and technically close deals
  • Ability to articulate and understand the customer strategy and sharefile solution strategy to a technical level of detail for their technical area of focus
  • High level of hands-on ShareFile, RightSignature, and/or Podio product knowledge experience
  • Technical certifications are a plus, e.g. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Com
Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.
General state ranges $83k-$110k (min-max)
