We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a web developer to join our Data Science Platform Engineering team. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications for new and existing systems. The position requires the person to:
  • Design, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software programs and applications
  • Effectively communicate with business users, team members, and management
  • Design and implement robust, flexible, easily maintainable solutions to problems
  • Identify and present opportunities for process improvement

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • An understanding of object oriented and/or functional design paradigms and best practices
  • High aptitude for logical thinking and pattern recognition
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and practices to overcome existing challenges
  • Ability to adapt to constant change and innovation
  • Understanding of Web technologies based on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript such as Angular
