Flowers Early Learning is a high-quality preschool with locations throughout Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties and currently has an opening for an Financial Services Specialist/ Intern at our Paw Paw, Michigan location.

Position Summary: Assists CFO/Finance Director and Financial Services Manager with processing accounts payable transactions, and other general administrative and finance department duties.


Job Type: Full Time or Paid Internship, Year-Round (12-months) Hourly, Non-Exempt


Expected Schedule: Monday – Friday;  40 hours per week (August-May) and 35 hours per week (June-July). Internship hours vary for class participation.


Rate of Pay: HS:
$15.86/hr.    AA: $18.40/ hr.    BA or Higher: $20.94/ hr. 


Education Requirement:  Minimum- associate’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with one year of experience with Accounts Payable. Preferred-  bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with one year of experience with Accounts Payable and one year of experience with payroll. Candidates without an associate’s degree must obtain an associate’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration within four years of hire.


Other Selection Criteria: All candidates must be age 18 or older, possess a valid driver’s license and their own reliable transportation, complete a physical examination, comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screen including a negative result for Amphetamines, Cannabinoids (including Marijuana/THC), Cocaine, Opiates, and Phencyclidine (PCP). Marijuana is not legal at the federal level and is prohibited in the workplace or in one's system, even if legally prescribed.
