Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Front End Developer to join our team and take ownership of the development of our web applications. The ideal candidate should be passionate about technology, have a strong sense of design, and a solid understanding of the latest web development trends. As a Senior Front End Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and scalable code that meets the business requirements. This position is on-site at Futurex’s Engineering Campus in Bulverde, 15 miles north of San Antonio, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality and scalable web applications using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and back-end developers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs and implement them with high fidelity
  • Write clean and efficient code, and ensure it is thoroughly tested and optimized for performance
  • Identify and address technical debt and implement code refactoring when necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and best practices, and apply them to improve the development process
  • Mentor junior developers, review their code, and provide technical guidance
  • Participate in code reviews, agile development processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's development practices


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in front-end web development, with a strong focus on JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with modern web development frameworks and libraries such as Vue.js (highly preferred), React, or Angular
  • Knowledge of server-side rendering, client-side rendering, and web performance optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and how to address them
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and development workflows, such as Agile and Scrum
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work effectively in a team
