Job Summary
Lead mid-level engineering projects focused on improving manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and supporting new product introductions. Responsible for planning and executing process validations, workflow improvements, and equipment installations while collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving lean initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead improvement projects for products, equipment, processes, and layouts.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and validation strategies.
  • Review and improve product designs for manufacturability.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Validate and implement new tools, equipment, and quality controls.
  • Conduct time studies and recommend production standards.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs and support prototype evaluations.
  • Create and maintain manuals, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Train staff and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers on technical issues.
  • Uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or related degree.
  • 2+ years of related experience or equivalent combination.

Physical:
  • Regular walking, standing, sitting, climbing, bending, and crouching.
  • May lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Use of hand tools, technical equipment, and standard office technology.

Working Conditions: Work is performed primarily in a production and office environment with exposure to machinery, moderate noise, and standard shop materials.
