Job description

Job Summary:

Web Content Editors are responsible for the ongoing organization and curation of the product information contained within the Kroger Customer Facing Item Catalog (CFIC), which can be viewed directly by a customer using Kroger's Online Shopping capability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • This hybrid position will be required to work in our Corporate Office at least one half day per week based on your team's schedule
  • Ensure all items are set up within the PIM system supporting the digital presentation of products at the Kroger Company. This includes but not limited to:
    • Item validation, including setting the proper Customer Facing Taxonomy (Department, Commodity and Sub-Commodity)
    • Set operational attributes to support item selection process
    • Write compelling product marketing messages and descriptions
  • Business Process Functions:
    • Create/ update Microsoft Office documents/spreadsheets
    • Create/ update common files for use in reports
    • Assist in providing support for our internal databases
    • Prepare and distribute weekly, period and quarterly reports
    • Update various team SharePoint sites to track item progress throughout process
    • Coordinate efforts with multiple departments and Kroger suppliers as necessary

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Degree in English, Communications, Advertising or Marketing preferred
  • Experience working in the grocery industry preferred
  • Capacity to learn multiple computer systems and web based applications
  • Skill and diplomacy in communicating with people
  • Able to interact effectively with all of the cross-functional teams to accomplish common goals
  • Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
  • Capability to collaborate with others and contribute effectively to a team
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and multi-task

MINIMUM PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to:
    • Remain standing/sitting for several hours at a time
    • Lift 10-30 lbs. occasionally

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • eCommerce Content Writer
  • Administrative support position in office environment
  • Retail or grocery experience
