Job Description

On-demand support for Client's PeopleSoft payroll solution Provide timely and cost-effective solutions. Provide scalable SME resources based on the specific project needs. Adjust and adapt to unplanned changes. Deliver the expected outcomes of the project. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and training. Provide weekly status reports. Scope Working in coordination with the Fermilab team, the scope of work for On-demand PeopleSoft applications support includes the following: The consultant will be expected to design, code, test, and implement modifications to the PeopleSoft application as assigned. Assist with troubleshooting configuration, integration issues and other day to day operational support activities. Provide business process improvements and/or configurations. Provide advisory support services including guidance on issues and solution guidance. Share Process analysis and design documentation. Provide technical support for PeopleSoft Tax updates, Open Enrollment, W2 processing, Integrations, patching and upgrade activities. Knowledge transfer pertaining to the resolution of an issue and provide insight on how Fermilab may troubleshoot similar issues in the future. Work on service desk tickets and change requests to resolve data issues and problems in timely manner. Ability to work with users to resolve issues. Maintain data integrity while performing requested duties. Provide sample testing scenarios for enhancements and defects. Provide training to users as needed.

Requirements Resource will have a minimum of 10 years development experience as PeopleSoft Systems/Developer Analyst using an Oracle database. The consultant will have strong functional knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM v9.2 modules including HR, North American Payroll, Base Benefits and Compensation modules. Experience with applications such as employee self-service (ePay, eProfile, eBen) is also necessary. The consultant will have strong technical skills in People Tools 8.5x including Application Designer, People code, Integration Broker and Application messaging, Application Engine, Data Mover, PS Query, Component Interface, Process Scheduler. The successful candidate will also have strong competencies in SQL, PL/SQL, SQRs, Oracle Discoverer and BI Publisher Reports, Windows and Linux, UNIX shell scripting, system administration including PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, Application Server and Web server configuration. Experience with Tax Update related activities in PeopleSoft HCM v9.2 including customizations to COBOL or SQR's Experience with PeopleSoft v9.2 Enterprise HCM Person Model and Non-Employees, Benefits Open Enrollment. Nice to have experience working with the new PS 9.2 Employee Self-Service Fluid Interface. The proposed resource(s) should have strong written and oral communication skills. Highly desirable skills include knowledge of ITIL processes.
