Job description


The Senior Manager, Digital Experience & Product is responsible for shaping and optimizing UL Solutions' end-to-end web experience and digital product practice for our primary digital properties. You'll be the orchestrating spine that connects product, design, content, and discoverability into a single web value stream, turning digital experience into a measurable contributor to revenue.
This role leads a multidisciplinary team of UX professionals, digital product managers, and web operations specialists to deliver customer-centric experiences that drive engagement, conversion, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
You'll serve as the strategic owner of the digital experience roadmap, partnering closely with marketing, content, analytics, technology, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and deliver measurable outcomes. The role combines product management, user experience, experimentation, and digital optimization disciplines to ensure digital experiences evolve in line with customer needs and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
Digital Experience Strategy
  • Own the digital experience vision and roadmap for the corporate website and related digital properties
  • Establish experience standards, governance, and best practices across digital properties.
  • Align digital initiatives with enterprise growth, customer engagement, and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, personalization, and automation to improve customer experiences.

Product Management Leadership
  • Lead digital product managers responsible for website and digital platform roadmaps.
  • Translate business goals into a prioritized, outcome-based backlog.
  • Run stakeholder intake and prioritization across marketing, brand, sales, and business units, balancing growth, brand, and operational needs.
  • Develop prioritization frameworks that balance customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Drive product discovery, requirements definition, and roadmap execution.

User Experience & Design Leadership
  • Lead UX strategy, research, interaction design, usability efforts, and the design system to deliver consistent, accessible, conversion-oriented experiences.
  • Champion customer-centered design principles across all digital initiatives.
  • Ensure experiences are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Own information architecture and templating across a large content estate.

Optimization & Experimentation
  • Build and scale a structured experimentation and conversion-optimization program (A/B testing, personalization) tied to conversion and revenue metrics.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement through testing and optimization.
  • Partner with analytics teams to identify friction points and opportunities.
  • Drive experimentation programs focused on engagement, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership & Value Stream Integration
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team across UX, digital product management, and web experience functions.
  • Foster collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Manage resource planning, budgeting, and vendor relationships.

Value Stream Integration & Operational Delivery
  • Act as the integrating function across product, UX, content, and discoverability; run the web value stream and cross-functional delivery cadence so the disciplines ship as one.
  • Steward the website and digital product capability through delivery and into steady-state operations for build, QA, and release management; own quality, velocity, and cost.

Measurement & Impact
  • Define and report digital experience KPIs; connect web performance to marketing-influenced pipeline and revenue using web analytics, CRM, and BI.

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in digital experience, digital product management, UX leadership, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years leading multidisciplinary digital teams.
  • Proven ownership of a large-scale website or digital product, ideally in a B2B or enterprise context.
  • Strong fluency in UX and design systems alongside disciplined product/roadmap practice (agile).
  • Strong knowledge of customer journey mapping, UX, digital product management, experimentation, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience leveraging data and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with CMS platforms, web analytics (e.g., GA4), and experimentation/CRO tools.
  • Familiarity with a martech and intent stack (e.g., Marketo, Demandbase, Dreamdata), BI (e.g., Power BI), and SEO/GEO concepts.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $155,000 to $185,000 USD and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
