Job Title

Career professional role requiring high skill with extensive proficiency. Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated or a senior peer needs to be consulted. Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others. Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel. Ability to negotiate complex processes and issues with others. Contributes to the development, documentation and implementation of standards or guidelines. Typically requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a large to very large technical environment.

Skill Sets:

  • Installation, configuration, maintain, update, manage, trouble shoot, and application deployment to application server environment (Primarily IBM WebSphere Application Server ND)
  • Monitoring the JVM performance: Heap Size, garbage collection, Threading Pools
  • Responsible for Architectural Design and Engineering, Implementation and testing and support of all middleware Environments with respect to High Availability and Disaster Recovery, performance tuning
  • Java Deep Dive with WebSphere 8.x/9.x, IBM Http Server 8.x,9.x, ODR, WebSphere MQ, Apache, TLS/SSL, SiteMinder, LDAP, Data Power, WebSphere Extreme Scale, Aix, zOS, Windows, Linux
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in UNIX, zOS, Windows, Linux
  • 3 to 5 years of experience of WebSphere administration, engineering, tuning and architecture of IBM WebSphere family products such as WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment, ODR, IBM HTTP Server, MQ, WebSphere Extreme scale, Data Power, LDAP, apache, SiteMinder
  • Experience with was admin script execution (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Experience with unix shell scripting
  • All aspects of product life cycle from engineering, implementation, maintenance and 24/7 support for all supported products
  • SOA, Cloud, Web services, SAML, and J2EE/J2SE Framework knowledge
  • Experience with AppD, HP Diagnostics, LDAP, and IBM/Java based tools
  • Experience with Java, Shell Scripting, SFTP, SSH etc.
