Position Overview
Senior Software Engineers collaborate with senior technical engineering or leadership in order to deliver robust software solutions for Mindgrub's internal and external clients. As a Senior React Software Engineer, you will lead or work with project leads to derive requirements and successfully deliver responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications. This role focuses on architecting and building modern React front ends, creating reusable component systems, managing client-side state and data flows, and delivering high-quality user experiences across devices and browsers.
Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of engineering projects

  • Research and evaluate solutions, features, and related technologies that fulfill project requirements, augment and improve the application, and anticipate future client needs
  • Responsible for producing task-level Levels of Effort (LOEs)
  • Design, build, and maintain responsive web applications using React and TypeScript
  • Develop reusable, accessible UI components and scalable front-end architecture
  • Implement client-side state management, routing, data fetching, error handling, and performance optimization
  • Collaborate with product, design, QA, backend engineering, and client stakeholders to translate product and UX requirements into polished web experiences
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Remote; 9:00am - 5:00pm EST preferred; 40 hrs / wk
  • September through January with potential to extend
  • Preferred to have an undergraduate or graduate technical degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of professional front-end development experience using React and JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Depth in experience with React, TypeScript, semantic HTML, modern CSS, and front-end build tooling
  • Experience designing reusable component libraries or design systems and managing complex client-side state
  • Experience testing React applications with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools
  • Sound understanding of web accessibility, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and front-end performance
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (such as Git), and modern development workflows
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss any issues with a wide variety of individuals and groups
  • Must be able to attend meetings virtually
  • Ability to work autonomously
Compensation
  • $65.00 - $75.00 USD per hour
  • Base compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, education, certifications, geographic location, and overall experience relevant to the role.
