Job Description
McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking a Material Handler who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport RI. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the United States Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, schedule driven environment.
Responsibilites:
The Material Handler will monitor and control movement of material and parts, using remote-control panel board, compute amount of material needed for specific job orders; compile report of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck.
Transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments such as: manufacturing plants, freight depots, warehouses.
Job Requirements:
  • Assist in a variety of administrative matters, maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records, verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness, and handling and adjusting service issues.
