Position Overview

As a QinetiQ US Mechanical Engineer intern, you will have the opportunity to assist with the design, testing and demonstration of prototype EO/IR sensors, weapon systems, and soldier equipment at our Ft. Belvoir, VA location. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities
  • Test and demonstrate advanced prototype EO/IR sensors, weapon systems, and Soldier equipment in support of US Army Modernization intiatives.
  • Assist the engineering team with Computer-Aided Designs (CAD) models.
  • Assist with the development of concept prototypes.
  • Team with senior engineers to solve problems with prototype hardware and software.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be working toward a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CAD experience preferred.
Pay Transparency

The base pay for this role is set at $25 an hour.
